LAB TEST MEASURE

R&P TEOM 1400A AMBIENT PARTICULATE MONITOR MASS MEASURE
LAB TEST MEASUREMENT

The following item consist of a used TEOM Series 1400a Ambient Particulate Monitor in very good condition; this machine appears to be like new having had very little use. Manufacturer Description: "The TEOM Series 1400a Ambient Particulate Monitor from Rupprecht & Patashnick (R&P) combines a powerful set of features that put it in a class of its own. Measured in terms of annual sales, it has achieved the status of being the world's best-selling USEPA-approved PM-10 continuous ambient particulate monitor. It is used by air monitoring organizations, industry and research organizations worldwide to measure ambient particulate concentration continuously. The time resolution of the Series 1400a Monitor allows users to identify episodes and determine trends in real time. When used in conjunction with meteorological data or information from gasous criterial pollutant analyzers, the instrument can provide vital information in the study of human health effects. Other applications of time-sensitive data include source identification and control, short-term compliance monitoring, emergency response, forensic investigations and numerical modeling. The Series 1400a monitor measures the ambient particulate mass concentration of PM-10, PM-2.5, PM-1 and TSP (total suspended particulate matter) in real time. It is the best-selling instrument of its type in the world…The monitor is used in ambient air monitoring networks worldwide, ambient air research projects, indoor air quality assessment, and exposure studies. The instrument is suitable for a range of other applications requiring time-resolved, mass measurement of the suspended particulate matter concentration. At the heart of the device is the tapered element oscillating microbalance, which is a patented inertial mass measurement technique for making a direct measurement of the particle mass collected on a filter in real time. The instrument has the USEPA equivalency designation for PM-10 as EQPM-1090-079, and is used extensively by the USEPA and state air monitoring organizations for continuous PM-2.5 monitoring as a correlated acceptable continuous monitor. The monitor is also approved by the German EPA as an equivalent continuous monitoring technique for TSP (total suspended particulate matter) and PM-10.
